Dude, check out this imba bit I've found. The proper singular form for addressing thee is "thou", not that boring "you" that's used for everything. The dictionary says it's archaic, but who gives a fuck? If people start using it again, it'll stop being archaic.
From now on, I'm going to deliberately use "thou" when addressing thee, my precious invisible buddy. Now I can finally translate my posts more accurately. For me, there's a big difference between addressing "thee"—the (non)human I'm sitting and chatting with in the living room; and addressing "you"—the invisible, unknown crowd that isn't in the living room the one I'm shit-talking.
I don't understand why this pronoun has fallen out of use outside of formal or ceremonial settings. And I understand even less why I learnt about it from a course on basic grammar for A1-A2 level.
