Episode 19: The Amanojaku Chapter
Probably someone already noticed this, but Hyakkimaru was on a roll that day giving head rubs to everyone they met on the way. First he gave the brown horse a head rub. He was about to rub his head at the man, who had a crush on Okawa, if not for the noise that Dororo made after trying out the hatchet. Then he successfully rubbed his head on Okawa.
It is funny that he did it to say hello and show his gratitude. He learned it from his “mom” Jaiku and was convinced that it was all right. Of course, it was up to Dororo to explain to him that it was not the right way. The boy couldn’t see anything except for the colour of their souls.
A Step Back in Time – Kinoshita Ceramic Shop, Okawa
Tucked away in a quiet street of Ōkawa is the wonderfully nostalgic Kinoshita Ceramic Shop — a family-run store that feels more like stepping into someone’s memory than just popping in for pottery.
The main floor is packed with elegant ceramic wares, from everyday cups to intricate pieces, each with that warm, earthy charm you can only get from years of craftsmanship. But the real surprise? The second floor.
You climb up a steep, narrow wooden staircase — more like a ladder, really — and suddenly you’re in a world frozen in time. Dusty old books, yellowed newspapers, antique odds and ends, and wooden beams that look like they’ve seen a century or two. It’s part attic, part museum, part time machine.
The building itself has a long history, and the owners have kept everything lovingly preserved. It’s the kind of place where silence hums with stories, and every corner seems to whisper something from the past.
If you're in Okawa, definitely drop by — even if you don’t need ceramics. You might just leave with something else entirely: a quiet sense of wonder.

Ai Okawa
Okawa was designed by @veramila21 and it's really interesting! I loved the wheat field and I liked how it felt really well thought out. A good visit!

This one was actually really fun to visit lol. The golden hour really works well with this town. Theres alot of forced perspective thats really used purposefully (??? Lol) this town really reminds me of deltarune (specifically the ending of chapter one) it has a very homely vibe so I had lots of fun lol 🌼
