Something that always bothered me is when people would take Yatsu literally.
And that's when he referred to Ammy as a "fair maiden". People take that and think he's calling her a human woman in a wolf disguise.
And yet, they ALWAYS conviently ignore the fact that he call Issun a booger.
If we're going to take his word literally, then Issun is a booger. Nothing more. Nothing less.
I 100% believe that it was supposed to be metaphorical in some way.
Ammy is a 'fair maiden' because well, they're a god that's helping bring peace and restore nature.
Issun is a 'booger' due to his self absorbed and perverted nature.
Now to clarify, I have no issues with the human Amaterasu headcanon. I just get irritated when people use Yatsu's line about Ammy being a fair maiden because they always conviently ignore the comment he made about Issun. (And plus the fact that he's literally BLIND).
Please keep in mind that I only ever played the English version.
