“Yusuke....”

She extended her arms out for her son. Unsure and frightened as she wasn’t sure how he would react to her. Put away under lock and key without any chance of being admitted out of that hell. But she was finally free from it, as Madarame’s secrets came to light. Not dead, but silenced and placed in a hospital far from the media. And with her freedom she wanted to see her son.

“Yusuke...” The name barely slips past his lips above a whisper. When he had heard just who would be visiting him today, he was overcome with disbelief. A feeling that still remained even now, as he stares through the glass separating the two of them.

Yusuke looks older than Ichiryusai remembers. Wiser, more cunning-- jaded. Was that his doing? He can’t even bring himself to be proud of it. His selfish actions towards money and fame were at the cost of lives, and it was a heavy debt he wasn’t sure he could ever repay.

Yet still, there may be a slight chance at redemption-- his former pupil was here, and that had to mean something.. didn’t it?

“..It’s good to see you. You look well.”

                              Lies couldn’t have sound so beautiful as they do now.       it was hard to dwell on that subject without reopening old wounds. ‘ decent ’ doesn’t begin to describe them ... they certainly are a messy piece of art. ( TRY ALL YOU WANT BUT EVEN YOU CAN’T MAKE THEM BEAUTIFUL ) interesting how they came here to discuss this out of anything else. no wonder hues began to bathe in sadness whenever bringing those two guardians up.       by blood, you are both relevant to me ...    but flesh alone doesn’t embody true parental bond; the artist should know among anyone else. they’re both unfortunate but his melody played the harshest one imaginable. the fool can merely sit about, not capable of saying anything to comfort him.       it doesn’t matter about my feelings ....    no one could halt someone who refuses to let it go.

                      ❛    -- what a strange sensation.. my body feels as though it is being consumed                       by flames..     ❜   he feels WARM, yet the persona is confused as he should                       not feel ANYTHING. a flicker in his image revealed a figure most common                       to his master, perhaps he truly was BREAKING, darkness soon consuming                       him. 

                      opening his eyes, light seems to seep through his mask -- or it would if he’d                       been wearing one. a hand reaching to rub at the ports he’d looked though ---                       soft, flesh like skin covering his hands -- strange. as he looked around                       himself, only one figure remained, one he’d known quite well as one of his                       masters companions; yet no one else seemed to be anywhere near by.
