Because of this, many automotive experts suggest checking oil condition regularly and considering an oil change service somewhere between 7,000 and 10,000 kilometres if the vehicle sees heavy daily use.Mileage is not the only factor. If you drive very little, oil can still degrade over time. For this reason, most manufacturers also specify a time limit, commonly every six to twelve months, even if the recommended kilometre interval has not been reached.
