Because you were happily dating the man of your dreams, Carlos Pena, without very many people finding out, you tried not to get too upset when he was out with other girls. You knew that it was all for show, and that Carlos was just doing his job by being with them or saying that he’s ‘single and ready to mingle,’ but you couldn’t help but let it get to you sometimes.

“(Y/N), I can’t do this right now,” Carlos says. “You know that I have to do this, it’s not like I want to.”

You sigh, “I know, Carlos, I know.” You did know, but you were having one of those moments where you felt like no one in the world loved you. You plopped down on the couch.

You hear Carlos sigh and his feet shuffling. He kneels so that he’s on your level and leans in to kiss you softly for a moment. “You know I love you, right?”

You nod, “I know, Carlos.”

He looks at you with concern.

“You should get going before you get late,” you tell him.

“But I,”

You kiss him quickly, “go, I’ll be fine,” you tell him with a smile.

He looks at you warily, but then touches your face lightly and walks out the door. You sigh and make your way upstairs to take a shower. You decide that you’re going to go to bed since there isn’t anything better to do.

A while later, you’re awakening to a pair of arms around your waist.

“Carlos?”

“Mmm,” he says as he kisses you.

“What are you doing home? I thought you’d be out later.”

“I decided to leave a bit earlier so I could spend some time with my girl,” he says to you sweetly.

You smile at him, “You didn’t have to, babe.”
