How do you think Mr Townsend would react if a fight broke out in the hallways?! I need details, bruh. All I can imagine is being about how all the students just record it on their phones. Oh and how would he react to a catty girl argument in class too? This would be a lit headcanon set
The first time it happens, Townsend’s in the middle of setting up for the day when he hears a commotion in the hall. He goes to the door and finds students, by all appearances, trying to kill each other. He makes some comments to other bystanders about what a peaceful school this is, but is too uncomfortable to actually get involved.
The second time it happens, Rob’s walking to his classroom when a fight breaks out up ahead. Not between students, mind, but between teachers. He’s too far away still to hear exactly what’s said, but is very much in time to see Tallmadge push Bradford back against the lockers. Bradford doesn’t appreciate this move and, just as the bell rings, a full-scale battle breaks out. The hall floods with students who quickly lose interest in the classes they’re supposed to be going to. Rob quietly asks one of his students not to film the fiasco, and word (begrudgingly, in some cases) spreads to the others. Eventually the fight is broken up and class the next day is full of gossip about how Mister Tallmadge got suspended. Townsend directs everybody’s attention back to the lesson, but then, “...none of you would happen to know what they were fighting about, would you?” and the gossip-mill starts back up. (he never does learn the Deets, but the next time Ben’s at his apartment for Monopoly the gameplay is particularly vicious)
Catty Girl Fight, once he realizes what’s going on he really does try to just ignore it, but finally gets fed-up and asks if this fight of theirs is in any way constructive toward fighting the Patriarchy. Mostly he just looks tense and perturbed.
