little palace’s library, ft. @ohsaiints
yuliya felt something akin to home inside the library. maybe it was because her mother kept many books within her reach when she was growing up, or the great storyteller that her father was. she couldn’t describe it with words --- but now, when she was expending more time within the books than with living people, the feeling was stronger. but yuliya still liked to be around other people, and her face would always brighten if she saw a familiar and welcome face in the middle of the shelves.
she made her way over to thomas yahontov, another healer. he was someone that, despite the rumours surrounding him, yuliya would always look up to. it was easy to judge someone by what they did not accomplished to do --- and she knew how it was to lose a loved one, too. “ thomas ! ” she smiled warmly at him, waving for him to join her at the table. “ i may be in need of your opinion about something. ”
