ahi! i will but it’s gonna take,, a minute, i’ve got quite a bit written >:)

first off, title: my current title for the story is our hill of stars, although i might change it, but i’m currently pretty set on that. i’m gonna refer to the story as ohos throughout!

now let’s meet the boys!

our mc lucas baileys! he’s from the uk originally but just moved with his family to minnesota. it’s the end of summer, school is starting up, and lucas just lost his father. now he’s doing his best to take care of his three siblings while their mom works all day. he played soccer when he was a kid and then got into theater later, but now he doesn’t participate in it as much, because he doesn’t want to limit his time with his siblings.

and our love interest, river miller! he’s lived in minnesota his whole life, with his mom, dad, and two sisters. he’s one of the few openly queer students in school, he’s trans and gay! he loves nature and drumming, he’s tall, and he is somewhat mentally healthy cuz he’s been working on his mental health!!

the boys fall in love over a few years with lot of season symbolism. also, at one point they share a confession diary! they give it back and forth and just write out their feelings :)

the two gays i was referencing were lucas and river and i am gonna rant about them but i’m gonna talk about all the gays because you gave me an excuse <3

first off, the twins! lucas’s twin sisters! addie and danna baileys! danna is aroace and addie is genderqueer :))) also danna is cis and addie is straight! danna uses she/her and addie uses any pronouns!

there’s a couple local queers besides lucas and river in the town ohos takes place in, i’m not gonna flesh them out too much here but they’re all queer :) and there’s also some local queers in the city lucas is from! they kinda take inspo from my friends and our queer friend group, cuz y’know, small town queer kids gotta stick together 🤝

river’s sister is cishet but a huge ally to river :) she makes an effort to educate herself and we love her for it

and now our boys, i’m gonna rant about them again!

river. man. i’ll never stop. i love him so much. how do i even say it? he takes band all year and teaches himself bass in his free time and he works with kids and likes his life sometimes and gets headaches and his knees hurt sometimes and he’s my favorite character ever.

you motivated me to do it!

this is lucas at beginning vs end of the story, he grows his hair out and just generally becomes more comfortable and himself throughout the story!! towards the end of the story his sisters and river’s sisters like to do his hair :) also he has like amber-green ish eyes, this picrew doesn’t have eye color options!
