One of my favorite cold weather beer styles is the nice big, rich, roasty, warming imperial stout. This beauty from Wolfās Ridge in Columbus was just what the weatherman ordered. Dark fruit and molasses and roasty coffee and rich dark chocolate all swirling around together to form a bold, full-bodied shelter from the snowstorm.

The hits keep coming from Clevelandās Noble Beast Brewing. Great new IPA that brings bright and vibrant tropical flavor notes, dances on the palate with a subdued but satisfying bitterness and finishes dry. Pretty creative label design on this one as well, looking forward to the next packaged release!

You just canāt beat having fresh, I mean super fresh packaged one day ago, world class beer delivered to your doorstep. Got three of my favorite beers from the folks at Fat Heads dropped off recently. They make one of the best American Hefeweizens out there in Goggle Fogger. And of course their hoppy stuff is stellar, a really nice crowler of Touch of Green, a fresh hop IPA, and 6-pack of Benjamin Danklin, a bold, bitter, in your face dank delight. Hang in there and KEEP DRINKING LOCAL!

Just one of the all-time great American porters, Edmund Fitzgerald from Great Lakes Brewing. SuchĀ an awesome go-to, I try to always have a few in the fridge. Wonderful notes of chocolate, soft roastiness and a touch of coffee bitterness, all while being very smooth, medium bodied, ultra drinkable. Just an easy drinking beer with a ton of terrific flavor. Keep that beer fridge stocked and remember to DRINK LOCAL!!!

Iām certainly missing the national pastime these days, but at least I still have this Ā crisp, clean drinking lager from the Brew Kettle to remind me of the beauty of the game. Playing catch with the kids in the front yard and drinking a cold Major Lager will have to suffice until baseball returns....
