#oh ferran

i saw people (mostly men who hate feminists) harassing her for allegedly objectifying ferran with the “oh ferran” thing and saying stupid stuff like “wHaT If tHe RoLeS wErE ReVeRSe?!” and it got to the point where she made a video apologizing even though she did nothing wrong 😑

ughhhhh i saw those comments but didn’t realize she made an apology video (i have insta translate the comments but i don’t have an equivalent for videos) and it pissed me off so bad. like. its NOT like if it was in reverse because the power dynamics are different and there’s no implied threat.

also there there was no dehumanization. like… if men were doing the “equivalent” to a female footballer we know it would be more along the lines of like, commenting on body parts or saying gross things, not just expressing attraction.

also ferran has referenced it himself on social media twice so i don’t think it bothered him. if he was uncomfortable with it i’d feel differently but he doesn’t seem to be.

i really really think that the men bugging her in her comments don’t think that what she said is bad, they’re just pissy that they get called out for objectifying women and believe it’s “unfair” that rocío is “allowed” to do it and they’re not.
