This split-evolution line was inspired by potatoes, patatje met (a common Dutch order of fries), and the dodomeki yōkai. They were commissioned and designed by @kyuremfan24, and belong to the Nenal Region.
Ardogel (Grass/Ground) Tuber Pokémon #025 - Despite their off-putting appearance, Ardogel are among the most common Pokémon in the Nenal region and neighboring lands. They eagerly assist farmers by enriching the soil and nurturing crops, but constant predation has led them to develop toxic leaves atop their heads for protection.
Pataris (Grass/Psychic) Fried Pokémon #026 - Pataris evolve from Ardogel after using Leaf Blade to shed their rough outer skin, awakening their true psychic eye hidden beneath. The rectangular stalks on their heads are removable, edible, and prized for their salty flavor; paired with the tangy substance they naturally secrete, these tubes have become a beloved regional street food. This practice does not bother Ardogel, as the starchy tubes quickly regrow.
Ogokemi (Grass/Ghost) Optical Pokémon #027 - Female Ardogel that evolve while knowing Mean Look become Ogokemi, transforming into a form that is completely toxic to consume. Pokémon that attempt to eat one are said to faint as their bodies turn deathly pale. Using the many eyes covering its body, Ogokemi watches for approaching threats, paralyzing intruders with a terrifying stare before striking; only those it trusts are spared its gaze.
