Dean’s last match is tonight and I’m going to be a complete mess.
Did anyone else notice this? Because I’m very confused LOL.
Sappy Post about Dean Ambrose below >>
It came up on Timehop today that 5 years ago WWE announced CM Punk was released. I remember feeling upset and confused. Here I am 5 years later, and once again I get the same news regarding my *new* favorite wrestler.
When CM Punk left I stopped watching WWE for awhile. Around the time I jumped back in, The Shield were on top of the company. When the time came for The Shield to be no more, Roman, Seth and Dean all became their own individual characters.
Dean’s character I gravitated towards the most. He was funny, energetic and had me questioning his actions every week. I found myself saying “Oh man I can’t wait to see what Ambrose is going to do tonight.”
A few months after watching and loving him on TV, I attended a house show. Dean was going to be there. He was in the main event against Seth. The moment his entrance music hit I jumped up from my seat and screamed so loud.
I remember crying when he won the championship, hearing the “you deserve it” chants from the crowd. I fell in love with wrestling again, and he was the reason why.
When he got injured and was out for 9-10 months, it was hard to watch every week knowing he wasn’t there. The night he came back I was shaking and crying so hard.
My Dad and I got tickets for SummerSlam the week before he returned. Knowing I was going to see him the day after my birthday, his first real appearance since returning made me so happy.
When I went to SummerSlam, he was the first person to walk out to be in Seth’s corner for his match. I, once again, jumped out of my seat the moment his music hit.
It reminded me of when I first saw him back at that house show, that after months of saying “I can’t wait to see him live one day” that it actually happened.
Granted I’ve seen him quite a few times now. Throwback to me rushing back to my seat at Wrestlemania 33 so I wouldn’t miss his match after finding out in line getting snacks he was moved to the pre-show.
I guess what I’m trying to say is that I never thought I would find a favorite wrestler again, but Dean Ambrose changed my mind. Thank You for everything dear sir.
