“Hmm?!” 

For a moment the man’s body tenses up. However, he slowly regains his composure after realizing that the presence he felt did not belong to an enemy. At the very least, he could sense no hostile intent from the girl. Though he could not afford to let his guard down. 

Their mission was over and the whole team was on their way back to Konoha, for once not having to rush since they were being offered three full days off after an extended mission away.For some reason it had been decided by Gai and Lee that they would stay at an inn halfway back home. Neji was a little concerned about the inn since it was a place Gai had already known about and the owner had actually welcomed them back.

Hence why Neji escaped to the veranda, enjoying the sun and the silence away from two of is hyperactive teammates. The sound of footsteps drew his attention, and he turned his gaze upwards to the sight of Tenten approaching. Offering her a faint smile he turned to look back at the relaxing scenery. 

“This place is surprisingly peaceful for a place that Gai-Sensei picked out.” he said, shifting his hands to his lap in a silent offer of a spot for her to sit.

“Train harder and faster every day! Don’t tell me you’re tired already, it’s been only a little workout!”

          A little workout was good to say, 500 push ups 500 knee bends and 700 kicking the wooden log. It may have been just a little workout for a Taijutsu master, but for everyon else it was more than they would probably do alone. Unfortunately the master of Team Gai failed to realize that.

          If one looked closer, it was visible that Gai was sweating a little himself, but his training would not end when he was sweating, neither was it over when he was exhausted. Just like Lee’s training, it ended when he was broken and bloody on the floor without being able to really move. Considering it was Maito Gai, this would take a while.

“Tenten.” The older Kuinochi greeted the girl, looking up from her desk were two piles of paper were stacked, both looking dangerously close to tipping. Suki was in the middle of going through tests written by one of the genin classes but she didn’t taking a small break to talk to one of her former students.

   Kasumi seemed to be the opposite of the tired woman she stood beside, waking up right as the sun was rising and getting ready for the day. It was the only routine she knew. And Kasumi wasn’t one to take no as an answer even if it meant someone suffered in the end.
