14. Does your character remember names or faces easier?

Thranduil is more likely to remember a face, although he is exceptionally good at names as well. He has an unnaturally good memory (especially considering his age) and it makes it easier for him to identify others. Plus, it’s helpful for holding grudges!

25. How quick is your character to suspect someone else? Does this change if they are close with that person?

Oooh boy, he’s often blaming inconveniences on others. Some might even say he’s paranoid when it comes to what he holds close (his kingdom, people, riches, himself). Thranduil is keen on interrogations and it takes very little for him to suspect that someone has done wrong. If they are close to him, however, it takes a great deal more to convince him.

4. Has your character ever witnessed something that fundamentally changed them? If so, does anyone else know?

Definitely! One of the most drastic changes came from his wife’s death, an incident that is hinted as being the fault of either dwarves or orcs. In spite of his elven-taught prejudice to other races, his xenophobic/racist tendencies grew stronger than ever.

SMACK! CRUNCH!

The sound of a fist smashing against flesh and bone with rattling force filled the air. Perhaps more brutal than he’d intended but in the end, it was what he felt was necessary. To teach them a lesson. Maybe they’d think twice about praying upon someone who was mostly defenseless. He said mostly because usually she had a large...bodyguard with her. He wasn’t sure what they were to each other.

Regardless, he’d seen men mess with her and get thrown into walls. While he didn’t particularly care whether they got hurt or not, he wasn’t going to stand by and let her get hurt. Despite the fact that he despised someone calling him by the title of ‘hero’ anymore, he didn’t necessarily enjoy watching defenseless people getting hurt.

His hand moved to his ribcage, grimacing at the pain that spread from that area. Luckily he was wearing a mask so the grimace was mostly invisible aside from a subtle movement. Why did everyone aim for the ribs? A baseball bat this time. Didn’t feel like anything was broken. Bruised, maybe. “Yennefer.” He muttered, rising to as much of his full height as he could.
