ASK MEME THAT HAS BEEN LOST TO TIME 

“Now I have met you,” the monster spoke, her towering and lithe form weaved through the trees, serpentine, as she approached the stranger that stood in the midst of her forest. The form was human in appearance, but she was not fooled. His scent told of something insidious lurking beneath the skin, no, whatever this man was, he was not human. Not anymore.  

“And you have met me.” 

Bare feet, armed with talons, peeked from beneath black swathes of fabric as she drew closer, her footsteps barely a whisper upon the forest floor. Crouching before him, she rested on her haunches, clawed hands settled atop her knees, she tilted her head and offered a sliver of a smile.

“I am yet to decide what you are. Tell me, my dear, am I insufferable?”

“Albert.” The click of Excella’s heels accompany the sound of her voice as she enters the room, gentle, voice soft. It is so rare they get a moment of quiet anymore now that plans are starting to ramp up into - well, into everything she and Wesker have been hoping for. Positive sample upon positive sample have been produced, and while there is still some balancing to be done in the viral formula, things are underway as planned.

Sherry’s gaze snapped towards Wesker, expression akin to a deer in the headlights.

 “Uh,” Sherry stumbled over words, looking for a reasonable explanation, “I was hungry?”

She wasn’t entirely lying. She was hungry, but not enough to have gotten up at 3 o’clock in the morning. But it was easier for the teen to explain hunger, than it was to explain that she didn’t want to sleep. However short her time with Simmons had been, she’d still experienced things-- things she would never forget. Too young to understand these things, but old enough to know that they weren’t going to go away.

It was better to just stay awake. Yeah.

The girl fumbled with an oven glove for a moment, popping open the oven door to check on her food. Partially just as an excuse to hide from Wesker’s gaze.

Big blue eyes stared out the window of the RPD, frightened, yet curious. The rain pelting against the window obscured her vision of the outside - perhaps for the better, considering the shadows that wobbled along the streets, grabbing at anything that looked vaguely alive.

Sherry couldn’t help but stare. Not at the monsters, really, but just at the world. Where was everyone? Her parents, in particular? Why did those things want to hurt her? She didn’t understand. She couldn’t have.

The girl turned away from the window, as Wesker spoke, and looked up at the man in sunglasses. Her uncle, and the only person so far who hadn’t tried to attack her. With her mother and father missing, she had no one else. Not that she minded. If there was a person she trusted to take care of her, it was Uncle Albert.

The fear was still present in her eyes as she met his gaze, but still, Sherry tried at a smile.

 “I know you won’t. Thank you.”

The girl leaned against Wesker, eyes closing for a moment as she sighed. How long had it been since he’d found her? She was pretty sure there wasn’t a clock around - and she hadn’t quite gotten a grip on guessing the time, not yet. She settled on two hours. That sounded good, two was a good number.
