[ OOC: |Headcanons| ] - (( Oh yay I love it when these two interact!
Firstly, because Artemis was somewhat uninformed by the Institute about a great many things (being a synth and all), Ali feels it’s necessary to educate her on human culture and history. For instance she discusses the merriment of Halloween and Valentines Day. She teaches her about the World Wars and the bigotry that accompanied them. She helps her learn about different old world religions and philosophical thinking, ‘I think therefore I am’ and such. Because where Artemis believes in the power of fighting and strength, Ali believes power lies in knowledge. Additionally, Allison sometimes has to explain to Artemis certain behaviors that are unique to humans. Such as bigotry towards their own kind, self-destructive tendencies, selfishness, greed and faith in a higher power.
As an addition to the former, another headcanon I imagine between the two of them is Ali wanting to lend Artemis books should they become more comfortable with each other. Mostly about history, but some are purely fictional. Allison explains it thusly. “Humans sometimes become so disinterested or even.. disgusted with their own world that they try to imagine one of heir own making, or get lost in another. Thats why we create fiction.” She’d also try her best to gage Artemis’s interests so she can find a book to the synth’s liking.
Because they’re both aligned with the Railroad, sometimes they end up going on missions together. Sometimes Ali has to go set up one of Tinker Tom’s contraptions or secure a Dead drop and will ask Artemis for help. Sometimes its not even because she needs the extra fire power.. moreso for the company.
Out of pure curiosity, Allison will sometimes ask Artemis what she thinks of humans, their behavior, the things they’ve accomplished and failed that. Ali of course understands that like humans, all synths are different. But she believes they provide a fresh set of eyes, a new perspective. Especially if their mind’s or memories aren’t altered by some fake past. ))

It’s absolute chaos; heavy fire on both sides turning the entire room into a blur of bullets and lasers. When the retreat had first gone underway there had been nearly 20 of them. Now? There were only 9.
As they finally push past the final checkpoint, a sewer system between them and freedom, Glory breaks away. It felt wrong to run, cowardly to. She couldn’t leave while still many of them remained. Teeth gritting hard, she turns back to the Gen 2′s encroaching on them - only for a hard fist to meet her gut. As she stumbles back, breath leaving her, Desdemona approaches and hoists her up; an unreadable mix of emotion coloring her features.
