       Sure, she’s still upset about the awkward tension between herself and Elliot, but she still LOVES him with every part of herself. She’s never stopped loving him, even after they both found out what the other was.

        It was with that thought that she stood up on her toes in order to kiss him, ignoring the surge of emotions inside of herself that made her want to cry about everything all over again, instead just allowing herself to be there with him--- to be TOGETHER.

It had definitely been a wild year since the first timeJan had met Elliot, but she wouldn’t trade the yearfor anything, not if she could help it. The both of themhad learned so much about each other--- well, mostlythat it took a lot to get either of them to do anythingwhen major laziness and whining was involved, but still.

Their New Year’s Eve had consisted of eggnog andravioli- both of which ended up making Jan sick, whichleft her curled up in Elliot’s lap on the couch as theywatched the ball drop in New York on TV.

         When the clock finally hit midnight, Jan made the         smallest amount of effort to sit up to meet the other         halfway for their New Year’s kiss before she laid back         down once more to curl up again.
