His initiation at hand holding just made her grip him tightly, smiling for the first time now as she shook her head at him. "More like it's a good thing you have stubborn friends who won't let you die. And me. I should make it clear that you scaring me like that mean's that after this I'm not talking to you."

“Yes, obviously.” Ralph turned, wiping at his lips, “Why would I bite you? You'd probably taste all bitter and self righteous anyways.”

"Oh my god, I really am sorry now-- do you wanna talk about it?" She asked, fidgeting with the hem of her sleeves as she moved closer. All her problems pushed aside.

He was going to propose to Barry. He wasn’t going to run.  The greatest green lantern was afraid of commitment. He was afraid that he’d ruin the relationship he had with the speedster. That if he tied him down that he’d still fuck it up-- it would lead to a divorce-- and them only talking when there was a crisis that needed solving before they went their separate ways. Or maybe he was afraid that Barry would just say no. A plain a simple rejection because Hal wasn’t marrying material he never was.  His apprehension was obvious he guessed as they sat there on the couch-- Barry slipping his hand into his own and giving it a gentle squeeze. It causes the lantern to almost jump out of his skin because he can’t know what he’s thinking right? That he’s all on edge all over a stupid question that shouldn’t be causing him to be on a brink of having a heart attack. ❝ I uh---- ❞ He ends up trailing off as amber eyes glance towards unbelievably kind ( and hopefull? ) blues before they look away. His free hand grabbing the remote and turning the tv off.  ❝ It was absolutely terrible Barr-- I was falling asleep. ❞ He continues on-- trying his best to act like everything was normal. Even going so far as to stand up and stretch ( as if he had been sitting there forever. ) ❝ I can give you better entertainment then that--  ❞ And then there’s that wolfish grin on his face as he offers up his hand to his boyfriend; an eyebrow raising just enough to get the question across. ❝ The thing is we have to fly to it. So do you want me to fly you there or do you want to ring up and fly next to me? ❞  He’s going to pretend that he’s not about to take Barry just outside of Earth’s atmosphere so they can orbit it. He’s going to pretend he doesn’t have the ring in his pocket till the last second; like he’s not going to propose at all and is just going to show Barry how North America looked at night from space without much cloud cover. He’s going to ignore this all before he gets down on his knee and asks him-- praying that he would say yes.
