it's important that topics of any sensitivity, especially regarding the events of the last few weeks, are best discussed behind closed doors, without any eavesdroppers. this isn't an official discussion, but curiousity that fuels her to ask some of adonis' time, and once she is as sure as she can be that there is no one listening, she cannot help but ask. "what do you make of these... ley lines?" it's not always they see eye to eye on council topics, though that doesn't mean lucia doesn't treasure his opinion. "do you suspect... other people know about it already?"

holding onto two drinks, jude navigates between drunkards and full tables before they reach their destination. "victor, hello! i got drinks." there's a bit of familiarity between them, which is why jude attempts this at all. they are sure the other gets swamped with unwanted attention all the time, which is why they hope they don't necessarily fall into that particular category. "is this seat taken? were you waiting for someone?" they ask with a small smile, wings folded behind them to make themselves hold less space in a place as crowded as this. "i got this for you- though i don't know if it's your kind of drink."

noa's office is littered with papers, some pictures, some case files, scribbled over in illegible writing. there's the stereotypical corkboard up on a wall with strings tied in a way that no one but him would be able to tell what it means. he is hunched over the table, about to fall asleep against a pile of papers, when he hears a knock on the door. it's early in the morning, not early enough that it's bizarre people are awake ( a lot of people have already started work at this time ), but noa is as hungover as usual. he makes it to the door and opens it wide, his tie crooked, shirt crinkled where he has spent the entire day and night wearing it. "aren't you an early bird? ...d'you have a case?"

the constant whispering is starting to become annoying- and noa has nowhere near enough alcohol in his system to ignore it yet. that's the only reason why he makes it to this person's booth with a drink in hand, and nearly slams it on the table as he sits down on the empty seat. he points towards a booth nearby once he begins to talk. "look, there's a group of school children over there—" probably not actual children, this is a bar, though they look young enough that noa doesn't particularly care. "who keep talking about you and not shutting up. i haven't got a clue why. so give them some attention and spare the rest of us from the misery of listening to them more, yeah?"
