ornias: talk about a time where you felt drained of energy

     Fingers curl into a small fist for a moment distracting her from the urge to say Every night. The way time blurred together makes it harder to assess when she truly felt drained. Did it include drained so much she couldn’t feel a blade in her back? Most likely. The times were endless. But only one comes to mind, slowly creeping its way to the surface. 

      A sigh heaved from her as her eyes close. “The day after that.. Ball,” she states quietly, “Being around nobles like that takes a toll on me. Hearing the endless compliants takes more. Seeing those— Those bloody faces took a toll that lasted a few days. It took everything I had to shut it away. Shut all of THEM out. All those voices, echoing disgusting things.” A snarl emits from her, nails digging into her fists. “By time we reached Skyhold, I felt.. Nothing. Not the bite of the air, not the magic in the stone. Nothing. I was beyond tired, I was exhausted. I don’t know how I made it to my room..” Her shoulders sink, hands relaxing before she hugs herself. 

             “It was.. Unpleasant. All my energy wasted on shems.”

lucifer: what are you most proud of?

      A laugh threatens to erupt from her lungs at the question. What did she have to be proud of? Her little Inquisition? Her actions? Her friends? There was nothing to find pride in. She has no pride in herself or her actions. Is there an answer in this? Not really.

     She smiles, however, shaking her head. There’s amusement that fills her emerald eyes as she looks towards the Breach. Perhaps it is her friends actions, rather than her own. The way they came to fight, grew to be something more than themselves. That she is proud of. Proud of the ones that serve under her banner. That is an answer.. Of sorts. Inexact & vague. But an answer. 

The fact that she is so loyal and pious although I, as the mun, know how warped and screwed up her deity and following were/are. In a way, writing this sort of character has made it easier for me to understand why people might join cults and why it would be hard for them to leave/to be so loyal to someone they consider divine. I’m still very much aware of how screwed up it is, but it has helped me understand how deeply emotional manipulation can go and the effects that it has on others.

How she loves children to bits, but she will use it as weapons against their enemies if it comes it because they are the easiest to manipulate and she knows that it would destabilize the enemies’ ranks. Just her cunning and the fact that she will sacrifice what she loves the most if that means that the greater good (even if it’s not what you see asthe greater good) will prevail.

Her confidence, the fact that she is so secure if everything she sees as true and that there’s very little or nothing that will make her beliefs shake.

The fact that she has been through hell but she continues to walk with her head raised high and certain that whatever comes and knocks her down, she will rise again. And even if death would take her, she is comfortable with it.

She has many scars, but there are only three that she hides, and that is because she is still coming to grips with it, accepting them but she’s unsure if she’ll be able to ever not hide them. The other scars she’s not bothered to show, they show her metal as a warrior, what she had to endure, the sacrifices she has done but those specific three show her failure and although she seems to have everything figured out (see point 3), she’s still learning.

The fact that I had no idea how curious she was until I actually got to write her in the Inquisition Era. She had to re learn everything from scratch but the process could have been much more painful than it was. She has learnt the new names of the lands, the common tongue from the dalish (which she still struggles to write, she’ll probably never be able to write common in a way that the others will understand), the races that she had never seen before (qunari) and their roles in Thedas (and how they could fit the new Empire)

Her combat abilities and her magic. I just looove to freaking write combat threads, I have one headcanon to write about the invasions of Tevinter where I intend on just going bezerk with her powers and wrecking-face-ness (what do you mean that’s not a word?). I just love to bits her abilities and the fact that I’ve been able to pass the image that she is indeed quite strong without having to actually write her wrecking face so much. It makes my fragile heart jump a beat every time <3

Dhruastun, apart from being beautiful (I cannot help it, that actor will be the death of me and my very weak heart) is such an amazingly built character. This is not unusual considering his mun is Jenny and well built characters with distinct voices are the norm. Still, it’s bloody amazing what you manage to accomplish. I particularly love the fact that although he is grateful for Fen’Harel and for all he represents (in his case, the freedom that he managed to get, the struggle) but at the same time feels the conflict that it would come naturally from being an elf that worships what others consider a traitor. Jenny, your writing is marvelous, the details that you put in each character (and how it changes from one to another, that they are completely different people without a trace of the other) and the voices that they have are just marvelous to read and to have on my dash.

You are an amazing mun, hopefully you are feeling better and less stress about the rp community and that I continue watching and admiring your writing and characterization from afar and hope that someday I can make a piece like you did with the 5 times kissed with Lionford.
