"you know iâm in love with you, right?"
critical role sentence starters // no longer accepting !
her bright auburn hair keeps getting in her way, little strands flying around her head uncontrollably and tickling her face // she repeatedly pushes them behind her ears, attempting to keep them in place, though denying the harsh coastline wind in the early autumn would be FOOLISH. at last she gives up, allowing it to flow in the air freely as it pleases, instead holding onto her jacket to protect herself from the cold ( had molly been there, she wouldâve repeated for the millionth time that she shouldâve taken her scarf ).
despite her hair perpetually blocking her view for a split second, she canât take her eyes off of cedric. be it in that little restaurant with the view of the shoreline where they tried oysters and other sorts of seafood and she almost gagged ;; or while they were walking down the promenade hand in hand, pointing fingers at the nice architecture or adorable children stumbling by, peering through the windows of the picturesque shops where they sell natural cosmetics and local organic food and pretty boutiques with out of date, vintage clothing you wouldnât find anywhere else // how on earth did this happen? she asks herself repeatedly, eyes darting over his beautiful features. her grip tightens as they take a left and appear on one of the docks, walking into the open sea ( or so it seems ).
he doesnât surprise her with that, not really. she would be lying if she said she didnât spend countless nights contemplating whether or not he feels the way she does and imagining him uttering those words and some others that she desperately wanted to hear from him ;; it ends up being even better. better than she hoped it would be.
â ââ yeah. i do.â Â

( â€Â - taking a bath together )
itâs friday afternoon ( or early evening? ginny isnât sure ) // dusk has already fallen, early stars on the sky begin to shine and gentle moonlight sweeps into the room through her peach-coloured curtains, shielding the glass. ginny rubs her eyes, stretching her feet out only to then realise she has fallen asleep â- a fifteen-minute nap turned into that of an hour or two. looking around, there is no sign of cedric, only his signature scent that she would be able to distinguish in any state of mind.
stumbling into the bathroom with lousy steps, she finds him soaking in the bathtub, water gently d r i p p i n g onto his back. he offers her a gentle smile, teasing her about her slumber ( a snicker escapes her lips ). she allows the yellow summer dress sheâs been wearing since she was thirteen to fall off of her shoulders, landing around her ankles followed by her underwear. her hand searches for a hair elastic on the vanity nearby, twirling her vibrant locks into a messy bun before sheâd step into the tub, sitting down in front of cedric. the water is nice and warm, refreshing waves coating her skin. it smells of cammomile and some other herbs she canât recognize. ginny leans her head back against his shoulder, eyelids flutter shut again ;; everything is right in the world.
You canât spell slaughter without laughter
â why would i want to spell either of those things? â
harry feels as though the joke, if it is in fact supposed to be a joke, is going right over his head, and he doesnât have the energy to pretend otherwise. his stance is as defensive as his tone, waiting for the other shoe to drop in whatever it is the other boy is getting at. he never can tell with cedric. one moment he looks harmless and the next, harry feels as though he should seek out a witness.Â
â i didnât know you had such a, er, macabre humor. â
