every fuck up has a sad story, every unlawful act a moral explanation -- in carmel, california delinquency seems to be a growing exponentially; high schoolers are buying drugs from solicited vendors for low prices (when your clientele grows by the dozen, anyone can afford to lower their cost), alcohol is easily acquired, students attend their classes under the influence of illicit substances or are too hungover to care. throw in the lack of parental supervision, an acute desire to fit in, an eternal list of sexual deviancy, and an apathetic approach to life’s future and it seems like the students of carmel high won’t make it past their twenties. its a mystery how a big portion of the constant influx of tourists, decides to stay.

summer has just begun -- not that it makes much of a difference for the locals -- bringing along a never ending amount of free time, motivation to terrorize town, and fresh tourist bait to drive off the edge. parents are desperate to get their kids out of their homes, begging for the scraps of free time they enjoyed while their children were away at school (little do they know most of them didn’t even bother to show up), and willing to do just about anything to lay back and relax. the sandy, white beach is the perfect setting for illegal activities -- somehow, in spite of the rapidly ascending foreigner visits, no one has ever been caught. its only a matter of time before things go south.
