My Paulownia test trees have really been put through the wringer out here. First a drought, then a cold summer, and now the fall rains have come and will start flooding things soon. 9/10 are healthy and strong, while the last one is just a stem with no leaves. I'll be placing cloches over them, then mulching with fresh chicken manure over winter. These are technically a zone 5 tree, but I'm hoping with a little care they will thrive here in zone 3. If they survive this winter they should grow between 9-18 ft next summer.
