Smooth Bargain is composed of three members: Toni the vocalist, Rudyard the drummer, and Lem the bassist. On the surface, they seem like any ordinary small jazz band, but behind the surface, there lies something... far more dangerous.

Behind the disguise of a band lies a group of strange but charming bounty hunters, waiting for the next great challenge... and the next big gig. Could they finally find their big break through bringing in the most wanted thief in the world?

As mentioned previously, this group of characters are faced during the Mercenaries of Paris sidestory, in which Abigail must track down a mysterious group of individuals aware of her presence in the city. While encountering Smooth Bargain is fully optional, they ought to provide a fun challenge, as well as rewards to those willing to seek them out.

At the moment, I am busy preparing for graduation, but I should be able to return to properly working on the main story sooner rather than later. While I don’t know what the next big update will be about, the next big character reveal should feature a main story character. Once again, thank you for following the development of AF2, and I hope to see you soon!

As has been stated in some previous posts, AF2 will shops that let the player obtain new equipable items to better manage their stats and fighting style. Different kinds of tops will grant defense bonuses from certain elements or status ailments, hats will grant boosts to various stats, and accessory items are able to grant skills you can’t learn from anywhere else. Even different and new weapons can be acquired, which support attacks stats in different ways. All in all, the player can now choose from a variety of items to best support their style of play.

But how do you get new items? From shops in Paris! New shops include a boutique for buying clothes and accessories, and a gun store for buying new weapons. All of these shops will gain more stock every day, each item more powerful than the last and with unique perks.

Also, there’s one special retailer who you may have met in the demo version... Snake Oil.

Snake Oil doesn’t sell any one type of item, but all different kinds of items, and his wares change every day. He can sell anything from discounted armor items to strange weapons to items you need for progress. Visit him often and keep an eye out for special deals!
