He  attempted  to  keep  younger  siblings  within  eye-line  throughout  the  festivities,  but  as  patrons  fell  deeper  into  cups,  dancing  less  orderly  and  crowd  more  chaotic,  it  was  getting  harder  and  harder.  A  leash,  next  time.  Or  something  more  eye-catching.  He  cursed  his  whole  life,  leading  to  that  point,  before  abandoning  his  almost  full  cup  in  a  more  active  search.  Of  course,  after  the  first  pass  over  the  room  was  fruitless,  his  expression  teetered  closer  towards  panic,  and  he  sought  out  the  first  familiar  face.  "Lord  Beric.  Apologies,  but  you  have  not  happened  to  see  my  siblings,  have  you?  They  seem  to  find  great  fun  in  sending  me  to  an  early  grave."

"You  owe  me  a  proper  vacation,  husband."  Manicured  hand  slips  around  Gerion's  arm,  painted  lips  pulled  into  what  the  world  would  see  as  a  pleasant  smile.  He  knew  better,  and  she  knew  it.  That  was  half  the  attraction,  the  game  of  chess  they  played  back  and  forth.  She'd  never  been  one  for  friendly  competition,  at  least  not  before  him.  "You  will  take  me  to  a  private  beach,  after  this.  This  weather  has  me  half  frozen,  I'll  need  to  warm  up."  She  gives  an  exaggerated  shiver,  because  she  is  nothing  if  not  dramatic,  but  she  is  wrapped  in  a  black  silk  dress  that  bares  too  much  skin  for  her  to  really  worry  about  hypothermia.  "And  until  then,  I'm  thinking  of  other  ways  to  stay  warm."  She  lets  the  suggestion  hang  in  the  air  for  a  moment,  before  smile  curls  into  something  more  genuine.  "Red  wine,  for  instance.  Or  whiskey. Or  a  nice  dinner  at  the  resort's  restaurant."
