So, I'm Going to Pitch a Musical
It's based on a doorstopper of a Victor Hugo novel that takes place in Paris a few centuries ago. The main character was imprisoned for reasons that we, today, think are absolutely ridiculous. Their life is completely turned around after contact with a high church official. Along the way he meets a lovely young woman who is cruelly slutshamed but is ultimately a kind, good person just trying her best (and unfortunately, she will die an angelic death in a cold, dark place). One of the main conflicts of the story is the interplay of law and goodness, and which is more important. The protagonists lean towards goodness while the antagonist, a hardline old man who is stuck in his ways, sticks to the letter of the law. Other highlights include a child with terrible guardianship, a love triangle, and the people of Paris rising up to defend an oppressed underclass. There are going to be a lot of dead characters, including the antagonist who falls from a high place. It's kind of a giant bummer. Songs include a jaunty tune that takes place in a tavern, a sweet but somber piece for the female lead who yearns for a better life, a song for the villain to despair about his inner conflict, a song about the friend zone, and of course, the giant number right before intermission where the characters get some sweet counterpoint harmonies to wrap it up and prepare the audience for the second half.
What do you think makes a better name, Les Miserables or The Hunchback of Notre Dame?

Mer Olympus
I want to draw mermaids, but I have so much trouble choosing scenes to redraw. Any suggestions? The available choices are Persephone, Artemis, Minthe, Hera, Hecate, Aphrodite, and the Furies.
I'm asking for requests, not commissions; no money, but it may range from a sketch to a full color drawing depending.
Current Request List for Mer Olympus
1. Episode 34, Hecate chews out Hades, @silvergrayace
2. Episode 57, Hera looking at Hermes and Apollo's portraits, @icedwolf-01
Hello! Do you know what the hadestown chest wraps are made of? (Not fabric, but like how it is made) and what the fabric for the workers overalls are? Thank you!
Hello! Okay, hopefully my app won't eat the response this time. I'm not sure of the fabric, but there is a wonderful costume reference guide you may find helpful attached to the post below. If you need any of the other characters, they are linked in the post.
For safety's sake, I would advise going with an actual top rather than a bandage wrap or similar because I have heard that bandage wraps can cause injury. So cosplay safely, have fun, and I hope i was able to help!!
All credit to @roadtohadestown for compiling these references!!
