Oc today: Sydney

Sydney is a mosasaurus who lives at the PaleoVisions® PaleoWorld™ PaleoLagoon™ (sequel to my previous dinosaurs post). She is the flagship attraction for the PaleoLagoon™, and she's almost done her public training. She can do all sorts of tricks, including breaching and various rolls and twists.

Staff are a little hesitant to open the PaleoLagoon™ to the public given a little hiccup in the creature creation. The higher ups specifically asked for a male mosasaurus based on their top analysts' observations. But a couple weeks into her accelerated growth, their star went up to the crew and let them know that maybe if it was okay she could possibly want to be a girl mosasaurus. Her staff (without checking in with their bosses) let her transition, even hitting a professional voice trainer to help her process.

While the board of directors was initially upset, they were then convinced that this could be good publicity. A couple social media interviews later, they introduced Sydney to mostly positive reactions. Sydney isn't aware of transphobia but she's clearly picked up on her care team's anxiety and is worried she's going to mess up.

Ocs today: Alecto, Megaera, Tisiphone, Demeter, Persephone

They are four genetically modified living weapons designed by the united states military using genetic material from angels. These units specialize in taking out dangerous single targets, including helicopters.

The army has also incarcerated a biologist specializing in angels and anomalous creatures, Dr. Persephone Grant. They are blackmailing her to try and gain as much information on angels as they can.

The furies are kept in a renovated hangar, filled with structures for them to climb and perch on. They have implants under their exoskeletons to shock them if they attempt to leave or rebel, and track them if they succeed.

Somewhat throwing a wrench in the plan, the furies have really started to grow attached to Persephone. They're displaying unusual behaviours, including preening and grooming her, and offering her pieces of their kills as gifts.

Persephone is... Hesitant to encourage this behaviour. She knows from what happened to her colleagues that you can't get too close to anomalies. But on the other hand... They're very charming when they try to appeal to her.

Alecto is very energetic, and is usually the first one of the group to engage with a target. She's the most open about her intentions with Persephone, and has used the English and Greek that she's been teaching the furies to flirt... In a way.

Secondly, Megaera. She typically avoids direct attacks when hunting, lurking in wait for prey who try to flee her kindness (the name Persephone has coined for a group of furies). As much as she tries to communicate not caring for Persephone, she has a habit of trying to take over from the other members of her kindness when they decide she needs her hair cleaned.

Tisiphone is quiet and came off to Persephone as cold at first. She assists Alecto in hunting, typically grappling prey to help Alecto deal as much destruction as possible. Preferring not to speak often, she still listens to Persephone's language lessons, and likes to wrap her wings around her when the scientist goes to sleep (the military forces her to sleep in the hangar with the furies).

Demeter serves as the leader, directing attacks and finishing off prey. She's a vicious hunter but is also a curious soul, listening intently to anything Persephone talks about. She prefers to observe and study rather than directly show affection to her caretaker. She's picked up a lot of English, using it to frighten guards and eavesdrop on unsuspecting officers.

While it's certainly a lot to get used to, the furies are the only thing Persephone even remotely enjoys about her stay here. She's constantly misgendered and ordered around, and forced to work late hours and autopsy corpses despite the clear discomfort it causes her.

Ocs today: Cytia

She's a lynx wizard in the chilly realm of Frostvale, on the hunt for a winter goddess

As a child, Cytia fell into a frozen river as she played alone in the show. With nobody there to help her, she was sure she would drown. But at the last second, a paw scooped her out of the water and hauled her out onto dry land.

In her blurry eyes, she saw a hulking figure with ice-blue eyes. She drew a razor-sharp claw down Cytia's sternum, her magic seeping into the young lynx's body.

When her eyes cleared, the Wintermother was gone, but Cytia's eyes were a frigid blue, and she felt ice freezing on the tips of her claws and ears.

For the next fifteen years, Cytia devoted all her time and study into finding the deity who had saved her. Her obsession grew and grew, and when she joined a prestigious wizard academy and quickly rose up its ranks, she began embezzling funds into her frenzied quest.

Now, she's joined a field expedition of wizards under the guise of trying to find an ancient city buried in a glacier.

Her fellow wizards, Tollvell, Opal, and Huward have caught onto her true feelings for the Wintermother, but none of them tolerate each other enough to confront her.

Ocs today: Tilly, Iris, Amelia, Ted, Viola, and Milton

Tilly is an extinct species of invertebrate known as a Tullimonstrum. However, this does not stop her from working as an accountant. Despite her lack of training and business strategy, she is a beloved and valued member of her workplace.

Tilly facts.

- Tilly is not allowed to spend company finances on bedazzling supplies.

- Tilly wears glasses with non prescription lenses because it makes her feel more professional.

- my mother thinks she is a very untrustworthy creature because of her proboscis

Tilly's coworkers

- Iris is her boss and Tilly admires her greatly for her professionalness. She does not consider her employees friends, but she finds Tilly's behavior loveable and enriching for her office. She is a prehistoric arthropod known as a Lyrarapax, closely related to the more famous Anomalocaris.

- Amelia is Tilly's work computer. She doesn't love having to work, but it's more fun to work with Tilly than it was to work with other employees. Tilly finds her a joy to work with, but doesn't understand her niche internet references.

- Ted is Iris's boss. He has a friendly demeanor, which Iris thinks makes him too soft on poor workers. Tilly thinks he's a funny and charming guy. Ted is a Hurdia.

- Viola is Iris's intern. She's learning the ropes quickly, and works with Tilly on tasks that other employees are too busy to do. Tilly was very surprised to find out she's actually a drummer in a punk rock band! The two get along quite well. She is a Hallucigenia.

Oc today: Aedria

She's a tiefling champion fighter for a friends dnd ravenloft campaign. Her lore is that she's the child of a human nobleman who made a deal with a devil for power and an heir. However, he was terrified to see his nonhuman child, and hid her from the public eye.

Ocs today: Karina and Antoinette Cardiff

Karina is a human soul trapped in purgatory after she drowned in a fishing boat accident. In purgatory, she takes the form of an aquatic humanoid with hills and tentacles for hair. She works as a scavenger, searching buildings for valuable objects.

On one of her outings, she broke into a greenhouse, where she discovered a grisly sight. Dozens of small plant creatures lay dead on a tarp in the middle of the floor. Each had a fruit-like body and small fairy wings.

When she heard voices behind her, Karina ducked behind a planter box, where she saw a curious sight. One of the plant creatures, alive and shivering in fear. She scooped up the poor creature, putting her in one of her overall pockets.

She smashed open a door with her axe and snuck back to her client, Cole Herschell's store. She took a first aid kit from behind the counter and did her best to bandage up her wounds.

The fruit creature clung to Karina, staying close to her the whole night. Over the coming days, she started to open up about her harrowing experience.

Over the weeks and months after, the two grew to care more and more about each other, and the two married and moved into an apartment suite in the city.

She's a loyal valiant knight trapped inside a backrooms kind of dungeon that's in love with her

The dungeon creates entrances in unused forgotten places, where it learns about its surroundings and finds inhabitants. To keep its inhabitants, the dungeon recreates things it's seen to try and pretend they aren't trapped inside a living creature.

However, the recreations are never perfect replicas. For example, stone tiles might have wood grain, a lantern might be made out of fabric, and a roast ham might have a ribcage inside it like a roast turkey.

My sahuagin Maliseza

She's a bonnethead shark monster and the royal vizier to king macharkon

He's a vain and sef-inflated king who has been manipulated by his court his entire life. Maliseza has no plans of changing this, but does her best to keep herself as his right-hand woman.

The sahuagin, along with four other factions (the deep-sea fish kuo-toa led by the Deepwater Priest, sea hags led by the vicious Hag Queen, prehistoric merrow packs, and the ancient alien aboleth Auldrirsiaske and her chuuls, crustacean servants of the fallen aboleth empire) are striving for influence over an imprisoned kraken, trying to persuade it to their side.
