something i thought about while making the amv

Noppera-bō arc
Do you believe Ochou survived?
yes
no
A compilation of Ochō's sweet voice to bless our souls ໒꒰ྀི´ ˘ ` ꒱ྀིა y'all can thank me later.
Listen. The play only has one actor. There's only one main actor in a Noh play. One actor wears all the masks. The nopperabou is a part of Ochou. It's the part that left when she was a child. It's her freedom, her will, her strength. We can guess that the nopperabou is actually Ochou because its body disappears and its mask becomes her face when her truth is revealed.
The nopperabou is part of the Medicine Seller too. We can assume so because the nopperabou looks like the Medicine Seller's warrior form. The nopperabou came from the Medicine Seller and from Ochou.
But Ochou and the Medicine Seller never met before. So how can the nopperabou be from both of them?
Well, Ochou also came from the Medicine Seller. Ochou is part of the Medicine Seller.
We can guess so for a few reasons. The Medicine Seller knows Ochou. She doesn't recognize him, but he knows her very well. He knows what she is normally like. He knows her story.
Ochou's name means "butterfly." Butterflies are symbols of transformation. We know the Medicine Seller is associated with butterfly imagery. Ochou also follows the Medicine Seller's movements when he pulls out his mirror, and she produces a blank paper ward. She has no idea why this happens.
Ochou is connected to the Medicine Seller; she's an identity the Medicine Seller created. So is the nopperabou. The nopperabou is one part of him that was created to protect the other part. We can guess that these parts are the psychological masculine (nopperabou) and feminine (Ochou).
But their true identity is the Medicine Seller, who embodies the original unity of masculine and feminine. Their separation causes problems in the form of an infinite loop of cause and effect, so the separated identities need to be destroyed, or made one again.
When the Medicine Seller says, "There's no one here," he's referring to the removal of those identities. There are no more characters in the play. The only one remaining is him, the true self. He's the one actor behind the masks.
