here's the basics: the undead film club is a group of five film enthusiast friends who are all different types of undead. the unofficial leader of the club is uma, a ghost, who discovered her love for movies after her death, and after meeting li, a jiangshi, and adan, a vampire, formed the club over their shared interest in film.

while not every member can make it to their meetings every month, they all make an effort to watch the movie recommended and post in their group chat about it. adan is usually the one who misses the most, though at times li has to cancel on short notice for his exorcist work. uma has never missed a meeting, and their other two members can usually be counted on showing. since some of them have more free time than others, some members get together and have unofficial meetings outside of their monthly ones.

being undead and usually not having a lot of money, a good amount of their meetings are held at li's place, though at times when they want to watch new movies, they sneak into the theater. a few of them have almost been caught before, but no one's gotten revealed to be undead yet.

i haven't yet planned out a full story for any of them, but i think everyone in the film club struggles either with having been killed at a fairly young age and returned to life with no choice in the matter, or having had a life they are now glad to have escaped. the undead film club is a place for them to avoid thinking about their troubles, but also a place to open up to their peers who went through similar situations. i'd say that all in all, i'm not expecting it to have a very dramatic or dark plot, instead being more comforting slice of life.
