Well first off…you said we are friends so…YEAAAAH BOOOOYYYYEEEEEEEVi and Laila are about 10 years apart in age. It’s unlikely they ever met socially when Vi was still going to “all the best” parties. She dropped out of the socialite scene when Laila was around 18. I say all this because Vi’s opinion of people depends entirely on the person and how they interact with her.If they had met during some social function I assume Laila would be the center of attention. Which is great for Vi. Vi doesn’t get flustered or upset about being the center of attention, but she will put on airs or “fakery” as she thinks of it. Seeing Laila do the same so effortlessly would only serve to remind Vi everything she dislikes about high society. Even if it’s natural to Laila and not fakery, Vi only has her own experience to draw from. (Vi understands society because there is a set of rules. Rules, like manners, are finite and easy to imitate. However, Vi is often confused at the deeper motives of people. She would be perplexed to find that Laila actually enjoys society parties.)However, if they meet via some 3rd party such as Emogene, Laila’s traits could just as easily be seen as qualities. How open and warm, how endearing and flattering. Since Vi is unable to read people, she takes most things at face value, especially if someone she trusts introduces them. It all depends on the setting.If they became friends, Vi would probably get annoyed at Laila’s obfuscation from time to time. When it comes to solving problems they both take completely different roads. Vi has a hard time understanding that there is any other way to solve a problem other than a straightforward way. Back at you. What would Laila think of Vi?
