Philia 3: What qualities does your OC most value in a friend? Loyalty? Shared sense of humour? Or something else?
Lilium values kindness and understanding above all else when it comes to friendship. She is someone who doesn't understand a lot about how peer-to-peer interactions work, as her mother kept her under lock and key for her entire life, so she looks for patience in the people she interacts with.
Loyalty is important to her, but it's not something she prioritizes in her life. To her, as long as someone notices her and has made at least some sort of attempt to understand her, there is nothing more important than being seen. These aren't the best things to prioritize, but she is young and has so much to learn.
Storge 3: How far does parental approval (imagined or expressed) impact upon their current sense of self-worth? What might they sacrifice or attempt to achieve in order to ensure the approval of their parents?
Lourdes has always been the center of Lil's world from the moment she drew her first breath. When she was young, it was easy to make her mother happy, as all she needed to do was love her and learn from her. But as she grew up, she has found herself in direct conflict with her mother's incessant need to protect her.
She longs for contact with the outside world, but to do so would put her in opposition to her mother's wishes. So while she longs to remain the perfect daughter, as she has grown into a teenager she has realized that in order to self-identify, she needs to do things that would otherwise land her in hot water.
She has sacrificed so much already in order to keep her mother happy, that she is afraid to make any choices for herself. But luckily for her (and very much NOT for lourdes), she will be meeting someone again very soon...
