Monachopsis-n. The weird feeling that you’re out of place. It’s a small feeling, but somehow persistent.

Sonder - n. the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own.

Liberosis-n. The desire to care less about things.

Klexos-n. The art of dwelling on the past – and it really is art if you think about. Recalling a memory now, then recalling that same memory five years from now can have a different effect on you (even though the memory is the same)

Lachesism-n. The desire to be struck by disaster—to survive a plane crash, to lose everything in a fire, to plunge over a waterfall—which would put a kink in the smooth arc of your life, and forge it into something hardened and flexible and sharp.

Chrysalism-n. The relaxed, calm feeling you have when you’re inside and it’s storming outside.

Jouska-n. When you play a conversation over and over in your head, but it never happened. It’s a hypothetical conversation – like you asking your boss for a raise, and you keep playing it out, or a fight with a friend (and you’re thinking, ‘I should have said that’).

Zenosyne-n.The sense that time gets faster and faster as you get older.
