â Wild card! (Hello~) What made you want to RP John? I wanted to RP in the Sherlock fandom before but it honestly seemed quite small when I looked into it. So I'm curious about what made you decide to do it and how you personally view the relationship between John and Sherlock. Everyone views it differently, I see them as kinda two sides of the same coin, Sherlock being the logical 'head' and John being the more 'moral' side to Sherlock.

â Wild card! (Ask a question of your own!)
Thank you for this! :D Okay, this will be a tad long.
When I started out in Jan 2015, I had only just seen Sherlock, and it was purely out of my love for John Watson. Iâve always loved him since reading Sir Doyleâs books as a kid, I think itâs something about him being the ordinary partner to an extraordinary man. Youâre right, theyâre two sides of the same coin, they compliment each other not just in the fact that Johnâs heart fulfills what Sherlock canât, but Sherlock helps fulfill something in John too. I would go on a rant about season 4 but I wonât. Just, know that the reason why they are dearest friends to each other is because they complete each other in a way that nobody else could. Remember, both didnât think there would be anyone who would want them as a flatmateâyes, even John. John has flaws on his own, and I really enjoy exploring them in my own way, while at the same time bringing out his positive traits that make him lovable. Itâs something that Iâve always strived to do because back then all I saw with other John blogs were Johnlock or just one side of Johnâs characteristic. Not that itâs bad, of course, but as a writer, I just want to bring out more from a character. Even much so by his relationship with Sherlock, because itâs the reason why we saw a lot more of who they truly are. Thatâs why my memorable thread was with the first Sherlock I rpâed with on hereââitâs literally their relationship in a nutshell.
Anyway, I hadnât rped much on Tumblr during 2015, and I wanted to see how this side of fandom was like, but my self-doubt won me over and I disappeared for a long while. I came back Sep 2016 out of nostalgia and a need to improve my writing and, believe me or not, maturity. Since John had been my most challenging muse, I thought it would be good to try taking him on again, and itâs been very rewarding so far. The fandom was really tiny then, before it exploded during the release of season 4. But since then the number has dwindled. The fandom appears small because there are few characters to begin with, but add up everyone else that would do crossovers, youâll realize itâs fairly large. At least, thatâs with me who writes with like 40 people at any given time, rofl. Stick around and youâll see how great it is, really.
By the way, I ship John and Sherlock as platonic more times than them romantically.
