Analysis
To start off I think the camera work has been captured well with a nice range of colours however if I could change one thing it would have been to make sure I get more close up shots as I feel like that would have topped off with this piece
Moving on to post-production. Let’s start with the first motion graphics scene you see introducing the brand, this was essential to start the piece with the brand name and Instagram account name so people know exactly what they’re looking at and if they want to find out more they can go check the Instagram account. I think it was a good idea to have it come out from behind her however I wish I planned a really nice title shot rather than just working with what I had filmed in general.
Next up the models title (Lucy Chambers), I was un-sure how I wanted to introduce her I had a few different ideas in mind but settled for the one you see in the final because I feel like it made the best of the composition space.
I think the fashion quotes within the piece work well too, however this one of the parts I would have liked to work with much more to really push these scenes.
Finally, my last shot. One of my favourites of this piece as it’s so subtle and smooth with the website reveal, I think it’s a perfect way to end this piece because it leaves the viewer with the destination to go to find out more.
Overall I’m happy with the outcome of this piece but if I had more time I wish I pushed myself with the motion graphics especially in regards to the fashion quotes as that could have been a really strong part of this piece.
To conclude I think the promo serves it’s purpose advertising the clothing but definitely room improvement in regards to the motion graphics.
