Hello everyone! Here’s a time line for sign ups, summaries, claims, checkins, and the deadline!😊
Timeline:
• Sign Ups are open from March 26–April 15.
• Author summaries are due from April 23 (with any content warnings if the fics have any) — April 30.
• Artist claims are open from May 1–May 8 (artist must pick their top 3 and we match artist and author based on a first come first serve basis. Claims will be open @ 9 AM CST time (for anyone who wants to check time zone converters ).
• Authors submit their 1st draft and check in on May 17.
• Artists first check in is on May 31 (checking to see is author and artist are working together/how things are going).
• Second author check in June 15
•Second artist check in July 1
• Third author check in July 30 (checking to see if works are mostly finished/how much they have left)
• Third artist check in August 4 (checking to see if works are mostly done/how much they have left)
• Fourth author check in August 24
• Fourth artist check in September 1
• September 15 (check to see if we need any pitch hitters/see who’s dropped).
• Fifth author check in October 2 (final checks/ see if the drafts are mostly done/any final touches made)
• Fifth Artist check in October 9 (checking to see if the art pieces are mostly finished /any final touches)
• November 6-10 we will open the ao3 Big Bang Collections ( they will not ever posted yet, the collections going to remain locked until the reveal on the 11).
• November 11 all the works in the collection on ao3 will be revealed/posted. Authors and Artist are allowed to post/reveal their works on any social media on the 11.
FAQ
Q: What’s allowed in terms of works for the Big Bang?
A: Anything is fair game, fics and any art/edits must not be already posted on any platform. Fics cannot be ones already posted/ongoing on any platform.
Q: What is the word count?
A: We have a word count minimum of 10k (however it can be over 10k)
Q: Can there be side ships?
A: There can be side ships! However this is the obikin Big Bang so the main/endgame ship must be obikin.
Q: What happens if we miss a check in?
A: Unfortunately if anyone misses a check in and we can’t get in contact with them, we’re going to have to assume they’ve dropped out/no longer want to participate.
Q: Can we tease/reveal our works?
A: You can talk about it but you’re not allowed to reveal it until the reveal on the 11.
Q: Can fics/art pieces be any rating?
A: Yes! Fics and art can be either nsfw or sfw!
Q: Can authors work together?
A: Collaboration is allowed, but each person will still have to write 10k minimum word limit.
Rules:
