Dear Gus & Magnus,

Gus came with me to the office today, then we rolled through Chick-fil-a on our way to his theatre camp showcase. Nene, Yiayia, Errol, Mom, Mags, and I all sat front row. Gus did great. I had not heard him rehearse at all at home, and then there he was singing a solo so well! I literally cried from the moment he first went on stage until the curtain call. They asked us not to take photos during the show, but I got these from their website.

When we got home, Magnus wanted to have a Frozen Junior play, so Gus gave us all costumes and parts and we acted out/sang some scenes.

Dear Gus & Magnus,

I had a meeting after work for a freelance writing gig I recently took on, but I made it home in time to help with the bedtime routine. Gus is at acting camp the next three weeks in Argenta.

Mom and I helped him rehearse for his audition, which was yesterday. He had to sing and read some lines. I told him he was unlikely to get a speaking part because he's never done anything like this, but lo and behold, he will be playing the role of Oaken in their production of Frozen, Jr., which means he'll have a solo singing role. I am terrified for him, but he seems willing to put in the work. This is him showing me the dance steps he learned today.

The lovable trading shopkeeper and sauna owner of Arendelle~ Oaken is such a one scene wonder, every one knows his quote! 🤭 It’ll always be a big summer blowout when his shop opens, even in the middle of December!
