Arts in Action Intern 

The City of Philadelphia Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy (OACCE) seeks an Intern to support initiatives that are a part of OACCE's Arts in Action and Arts Education program areas the initiatives. This is an opportunity for hands-on practice working on various projects and an introduction to the administration of Philadelphia's Local Arts Agency. The Intern will assist in the development and promotion of initiatives that offer significant cultural practices and opportunities; including but not limited to executeances in Public Spaces, Community School Series, and the Creative Industries Series. expertise needed: 

» practice in an office setting 

» practice with event coordination 

» Excellent verbal and written expertise 

» Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite 

» Proficiency in digital media tools (e.g. Photoshop, Final Cut) is not required but preferred

 » Completion of a minimum of 2 years of college, pursuing a related BA/BS degree

Ideal intern will have the following qualities: 

» Pro-active, self-directed, detail-oriented, and organized

 » Punctual, reliable, and able to meet deadlines 

» Enthusiasm and initiative to take on new projects 

» Strong inter-personal, email, and phone expertise 

» Capacity to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team 

» Interest in and/or expertise of the arts and culture field or creative business sector as Information technology pertains to engaging and enhancing communities 

» Be a Philadelphia resident  Education Level: Completion of a minimum of 2 years of college, pursuing a related BA/BS degree
