That AU where Zane and Nick can never get to their big fucking kiss because shit always happens. Like Digger shoulders past them just as Nick is leaning in and they collide unexpectedly and Nick fucking bites Zane hard enough that they both contemplate the need for stitches.
Or that time Zane got food poisoning and upchucked into Nick’s lap after what had been a v romantic dinner date.
Or when Nick leaned in to kiss Zane that night after celebrating Ty’s birthday only for Zane to suddenly lean down to tie his shoes — head butting Nick and, well, he isn’t sure what happened after that only that there’s a small chunk of time gone in his memory where supposedly an ER trip and stitches took place.
Zane gave him a huge apology chocolate bar and leprechaun plushie. The big sap.
In the end..they just settle on holding hands and a very very cautious nose boop.
how about that C&R AU where Nick kisses Zane instead of Ty. Because after awhile he’s not trying to piss off Zane and passive aggressively tell the other he is no good for Ty. Oh no.
After all the shit Ty pulls and manages to get away with his brains switches gears. He begins to think things like “fuck, Ty really doesn’t deserve Zane.” Or “man, if I were Zane I’d just fucking leave already.”
And then he just gets so pissed after another one of their fights that Nick slams his lips into Zane’s while he is still ranting about Ty. And when they pull away they just stare and staaaaare… because there are no words for how fucked their situation has just become.
