Tommy sat in the corner of the tiny cell , hugging his legs as he shook lightly. He had expected this , yet it was more terrifying than he originally thought. It was like being back in Juvie. The experimenting⊠The pain that was soon to come and the suffering⊠And the screams. They were faint sometimes and sometimes they werent. Either way he could still hear them. They were making their way down the line of mutants. Level by level.. Tommy was level 8 so he still had time before they would repeat what they had done to him before. The scars they had left would be joined by new ones and he couldnât do anything about it. No one could. All of this because he was different, because he was a mutant. The government felt that he needed to register himself because of what he was , but Tommy disagreed. So he didnt. And they caught him. Just because he didnât want to be labeled like a Pedophile would. Marked on a map to warn people⊠It wasnât right. It never would be. Just because he was mutant didnât mean he was evil. Even with Magneto and Scarlet Witch as relatives , it didnt mean he was dark side. It didnt mean Billy was either. As far as he knew though , Billy was safe. So was the rest of the team. He just hoped they didnât pull a stupid stunt and get themselves in this hell hole as well. They needed to stay out and help. They couldnât help in here. This was a war. Mutants against Humans. And Mutants needed as much help as they could , because they needed to win.Â
In a way he was lucky. They werenât making him fight other mutants like they had before. They werenât doing that at all as far as he knew , but he could have been wrong. He was unable to see any of the others unless he went up to the door and peaked out so he couldnât be sure because he had never dared to look. Tommy wasnât sure heâd be ready to see what was on the other side of the grey lifeless door that just made the tiny room even more depressing than it was. It was cold. Very cold. And it was dim , little to no light shining through. The speedster could have easily escaped this place if he was able to use his powers. But he couldnât. The damn bastards had shot him up with something when he was brought in. It obviously wore off after a while though because they had to continue giving it to him every morning.
Tommyâs eyes shot up as he heard the door being unlocked and he tried to farther himself into the corner , eyes wide with dark circles under them from lack of sleep. How could he sleep in a place like this? He was always awoken by screams and cries for help. He couldnât understand why they wasted their breath. No one was helping them anytime soon. Why couldnât they understand that already? The screams were pointless and just getting flat out annoying... But in a way Tommy understood. They were scared. If this hadn't been his first time in a room like this , he'd be screaming too. He had the first time. He had been just as bad. And even now he was terrified as they opened the door. The boy was shaking and he could only watch as they carried in a unconcious woman and set her on the bottom bunk , but he didn't dare go to investigate. Not even after the door was shut once more and bolted from the outside. He just sat and stared , tucked into the corner across from the beds. Tommy could only stare for so long though before he buried his head in his arms.Â
