I'm happy about being able to start working on book 2 with twine next month, but my other far future project is also rotating in my mind constantly nowadays... And i'm hitting so many forks in the road where i'd need to make a decision and as usual it's tearing me apart because i cannot decide.

the biggest decision i'm fighting is, do i want to keep the creature as creature only, or do i give them a humanoid form as well?? both choices would have equally nice ideas to work with, but making 2 different versions is out of the question because the overarching story would still be more or less the same, so there's really no point in that. also i would not have the energy or interest for such. Giving them a humanoid form would make it a lot easier on me because drawing humans is 100 times easier than creatures, but at the same time giving them a humanoid form as well feels like... hmm how to describe it? kind of an easy way out when it comes to how the characters will interact with eachother? even if the other party doesn't know how to talk or act quite like a human to start with, it still makes it a lot easier to learn how to - compared to keeping them as an intelligent creature. I also feel like it's so commonly the case that eventually the creature/monster becomes a human/humanoid, and it often feels like ehhh, unnecessary. But at the same timeeeee i have so many fun ideas rotating for it if they do get a humanoid form as well. ;u; aslkjlghlaksjd I do plan to keep it platonic between the main characters with that one though. as much as i'm enjoying all the fluffy smoochings and more naughty stuff with my cat blorbos, i also very much want to create a story where there's a deep and loving bond between without the romance. whichever route i end up choosing... maybe i could keep the other as just some occasional fun additions outside the story itself, as a sort of "what if" scenarios. but still, i can't choose. not that I am in any rush to do so anytime yet but it won't leave my head!! gimme a break!
