As part of Milan 2015 we showed the first outcomes from our ongoing collaboration with @mournetextiles at the @irishdesign2015 flagship show #liminal. . . Our focus for Milan was to show just how well the Mourne fabrics work in a contemporary context. Pretty amazing considering the two particular fabrics used were designed over half a century ago, and most certainly a testament to the thought and care that went into their design. . . That was all a bit serious though. Since then we've been playing. Playing with new colours, new treatments, new cushions, still based on the original fabrics. Exploring how these changes alter our perception of the pieces. . . We will show the results of this play at @wanteddesign in #NYC this week. The show opens on Friday and runs until Monday.
