There’s something about a restaurant with history, and Paul & Jimmy’s proudly wears its seven decades of culinary tradition.The Legacy of Paul & Jimmy’sThe Azzollini Family’s JourneyThe story behind this institution is as rich as the Bolognese sauce that has been ladled onto plates for generations. In 1955, the Azzollini family left their coastal hometown of Molfetta, Italy, and made their way to New York in search of opportunity. Like so many before him, the elder Azzollini started small—waiting tables at Paul & Jimmy’s before taking a leap of faith and purchasing the restaurant. What began as a modest dream has since flourished into a beloved landmark frequented by governors, mayors, musicians, actors, and even a few of New York’s more infamous families.
