Made a Mars on Earth cause art.

Paint Spill 😛 I didn't expect to, but I surprised myself and took a trip to the Painted Hills last night. This having been only my second time making the drive, I almost didn't go as I remember the first time I went the drive taking a good while, and by the time I left it was already after 4 PM and I knew the sun would set at 5:30. Still, I drove my car north of Bend toward Redmond, then east towards Prineville, despite the warnings of the dark gray sky and looming rainclouds on the eastern horizon, which actually turned out to be snow on the way there (and even heavier snow on the way back home). Upon arriving at the Painted Hills I was fortunate to be treated to about 10 minutes of nice even lighting thanks to the overcast skies before it really began to get dark. I admired the warm red hues of the hills and settled on a few compositions for exposures, including this one. Soon after I quickly repacked my gear and made my way back home.
