dr blue struggles with breathing exercises as grounding, and instead has a habit of tapping his fingers on the palm side of his handplate or on his prosthetic's forearm, quietly reciting any catalogue of information under his breath (steps to putting a car together, surgical operations), or, if in his grasp, hand held puzzles. while not entirely happy about it for its history, he finds himself fond of rubiks cubes.
i don't know if i've ever mentioned it before, but he is also fairly expressive with his eyelight colors, though this is only really reserved for those he's very close to (or involuntarily when very emotionally oveewehelmed). most others likely don't understand what he's doing when he does it, given it's a very. Handplates variant specific thing. this also results in him being confused by those who Do have inconsistent eyelight colors
when nervous or emotionally overwhelmed, memory pulls the top of her scarf over her mouth and rubs her fingers across the fabric of the loose end of it. she'd also probably rub her hands together (washing hands motion rather than like a fly). she moves much slower and firmer, though.
she's definitely not as expressive in the face. she does have an eyelight too though! which she most often uses in attempt to guilt others. kind of like puppy eyes. though in a very early version of nightwatch, it was written that she'd first used this to try to show psych that she was a living being and to appear more "like him" when she was first found as a dying amalgam in the atomization void.
