Happy international women’s rights day!! From now on, fertility treatments for women without a male partner will no longer be reimbursed by (mandatory) health insurance, because “the lack of a male partner is not a medical condition”. Women whose male partners have fertility problems will still be reimbursed, because apparently it’s different if the sperm comes from someone you’re dating versus a donor. Good reminder that even in “progressive” and “tolerant” countries women’s rights to our bodies and independence are never guaranteed and will be traded for economic gains by men without blinking.
