chococat and nutz (2024) for anon!

Chococat is here! He's so soft and fuzzy, and so cute! I love that his sleeper is a little baggy on him; it makes him seem a little smaller than he is, and Chococat is usually depicted as shorter than the other Sanrio characters. Idk if they did that on purpose or if it's just a coincidence, but either way it's adorable ❤️

The fur they used is short, soft, and fuzzy; it's a really nice texture! It is a little shiny in some lighting but I'm not bothered by it, it doesn't feel cheap or scraggly so I'm happy! The felt whiskers are easy enough to ignore but I might eventually replace them with a softer fabric. I'm also not super crazy about the fabric on the feet; the name decal adheres better to it than minky but it just doesn't feel nice to touch. Also it attracts lint and fuzz. But that's personal preference, Build-a-Bear did a great job with Chococat (despite the few loud complainers who might claim otherwise). It fits with the new Sanrio line and makes some improvements on the old design. The facial proportions are better on this one, and tbh I prefer the embroidered eyes over the way they had the fabric for the whites and the pupil being a safety eye. I also think the new whiskers will be much more durable than the string ones. The nose flocking is also really cute, and a fun touch!
