Indulge in the heavenly combination of Nutella and sugared donuts. These delightful treats are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth!
Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 2 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp salt. 1/2 cup milk. 2 large eggs. 2 tbsp melted butter. 1/2 cup Nutella or hazelnut chocolate spread. Vegetable oil for frying. 1/2 cup powdered sugar for coating. 1/2 tsp cinnamon optional, for coating.
Instructions: In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and melted butter. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until a soft dough forms. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/2 inch thickness. Using a round cookie cutter or a glass, cut out donut shapes from the dough. Then, cut out the centers using a smaller cutter or bottle cap. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350F 175C. Carefully drop the donuts into the hot oil and fry for about 2-3 minutes per side or until they are golden brown and puffed up. Remove the donuts from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil. While the donuts are still warm, fill a piping bag with Nutella and pipe it into the center of each donut. In a shallow bowl, mix the powdered sugar and cinnamon if using. Roll each Nutella-filled donut in the sugar mixture to coat them evenly. Serve the Nutella-filled sugared donuts warm and enjoy!
