I thought this was an okay episode. I wasn’t too thrilled with the murder...which is a weird thing to say but their wasn’t really a body discovery rather than just some vandalized projection slides and I found The Captain and the crew rather tiresome. So I’m going to stick with the parts I liked.

It was fun to see Murdoch and Julia both awkwardly (at the beginning) trying to deal with living their life and having a baby and being determined to not have it change how they live. George’s faces were great when he saw them bring Roland to the lecture and then when he started acted up. I do commend them for not wanting it to change them and also wanting to do it all themselves, but really for going to a lecture at the museum get a babysitter for the hour. I also liked The Inspector saying “welcome to fatherhood” when Murdoch commented how he couldn’t go anywhere while he was bouncing Roland on his knee. Which of course Murdoch invents that bouncy swing not a swing thing. 

Of course the other part I really liked was George and Nunik! I love whenever George gets put in a fun duo for the occasional episode. I like that Nunik was just as amused with George as George was with him. I think I’ve said this before, but it also goes to show just how good George’s instincts are for people. Whenever he befriends anyone involved in the case that person is never guilty. This something Murdoch and The Inspector can’t say, whoever they befriend usually ends up being the killer, or theft as was the case for last week’s episode. I hope we see George getting more involved in moving pictures. He was an actor in one of the Pendrick episodes and now he was behind the camera and we know he can write, so maybe they’ll do something down the line.
