Just a list I’ll edit when I think of stuff for his backstory
(also idk if I’m gonna keep callin him NuAlter, but just something I’m doing now to separate him a bit in tags)
It’s in the future a bit, not super far, but far enough for some higher tech, one of them being a helmet you can wear and it uploads your consciousness into a digital space. A large chunk of people use this for video gaming naturally.
He’s a programmer at a video game company that makes several types of games, their most popular one is an online, open-world adventure game.
IRL he’s anti-social and stays away from his co-workers unless he has to talk to them. This is due to him being awkward and having a massive fat fetish, to where it’s all he thinks of outside of work, so he has nothing of substance to talk about.
He has a copy of all the games at home that he mods with weight gain mechanics, as well as a game that’s little more than just a story maker that he can “live out” in the game.
He lives out most of the games as a fat purple cross-dressing demon.
Sometime when he was altering the games, he accidentally unlocked the key to changing DNA, as he found out one day when he came out of a game fat and was fatter and purple IRL (the ratio to in game gains to IRL gains fluctuates).
As far as he can tell, he did something that takes what your mind perceives as real in the game and makes it real to your body. (this includes eating and drinking as he’s never hungry or thirsty, no matter how long he’s in the game)
He can’t stay fat and purple though, because of work and life, so he makes sure to always go back to “normal” before exiting the game.
There’s a bit of time where he has to work from home and he stays fat the whole time, save for meetings.
One day he gets carried away in one of his stories, and gets impossibly fat, at the same time his power goes out and he’s ejected from the game as an immobile pile of fat that’s taking up half the room. His arms and legs sucked into rolls of fat as his head is sunk into his body.
After a day, one of his co-workers drops by to see what’s going on, finding the pile of lard. They climb up and find a flustered Alter staring back at them.
A super embarrassed Alter explains what happened as best he can, and the co-worker gets the power turned back on, letting Alter go back in the game and turn normal.
The co-worker, ignoring the fat stuff, exclaims this is an amazing discovery, and Alter should share it with the world.
Alter, already knowing his secret is gonna go around the office, shuts them down and refuses.
The co-worker gets mad and leaves, unable to reason with him.
The next day the co-worker corners Alter and tries to get him to share the code again, or else he’ll regret it.
Alter knocks them down and tells them to leave him alone.
Later in the day the boss comes up to Alter angrily and tells him he’s fired for an abusive email/image that was sent from his email.
Unable to prove he didn’t do it, Alter goes home.
At home, he decides to escape into his version of the online game before looking for a new job.
While in the game, it starts glitching out, his form changing from a tall-ish demon, into a short imp/demon, but his weight stays the same, which at the time was a few hundred pounds, so he becomes increasingly fatter and his clothes rip off.
After he stops getting smaller and wider, there’s a flash of glitches and suddenly he’s in a town square in the game, but surrounded by other, REAL, people.
The only clothing he has is his wrist band device that lets him interact with the game mechanics, he tries to use it to leave, but it won’t let him disconnect. He tries to make himself normal, but it says this new form is his natural form and he can’t change it.
After several minutes of people staring at his nude form, he runs off in a wobble and manages to find a chest with some torn up clothes that just barely fit him.
He wanders around tryin to figure out what happened, when he gets a note on his wrist device from his co-worker, saying they’ve hacked into his system and trapped him in the game as punishment for not sharing his code.
He says they’re in his system, why not just take it and let him out.
The co-worker actually does have the code, but can’t figure out why it’s special, as it looks normal, so they’re gonna observe Alter for a period of time in the game until they can figure it out. And then maybe he can leave.
Alter is now trapped in the game, and the only person that knows is the person that trapped him in there, and no one will come to his house to help.
He’ll have to play whatever games the co-worker makes him play and be sure to win.
The co-worker messages once more, that his code leaked into the online game, so now other people will be subjected to his fat kink.
The online game is a hub area, and all the companies other games are in various places around the map (it’s huge)
He’s still fat in those other games, and even in those games, weight gain code leaks in
If he gets too fat, he can gather some in game money to pay for a weight loss potion (something he programmed in his game)
Effectively this means any old Alterdeus art, and HIPSter Alter art can be considered part of this world too (kinda the same thing I did where Alterdeus was a story HIPSter was doing) and they were his avatar in those things.
I might consider Soltan and Zentio part of it too (since Soltan is intertwined in Alterdeus and all), but I kinda like having those guys be their own universe for now. BUT anyone from Alterdeus could possibly be brought back in for this if I feel like it.
